Just a normal Monday...

Today just a few scenes from Booth 58 that I haven't highlighted yet....
 Nothing really exciting to share....
No creative post title or corny quote to write....

No huge changes in the Booth since last week....
Just a normal day with wonderfully normal stuff to share with you...

A "normal day" is great to have every now and then... right?

The "Stacks" are High

Mom and I spent some time in the booth last week moving things around... and bringing in some new treasures for you all.....
Realized that one of our "fluffin'" techniques is stacks...

Stacks of books, boxes, dishes, starfish...what else???

Come up to ACM soon to see what stacks are waiting for you.

She Sells Sea Shells

It's about that time of year again.... when we start thinking about going to the beach!  Booth 58 already has some coastal touches.  Headin' to the Beach...bit by bit....

 Sellin' Sea Shells again!
beautiful painting with coastal birds and colors...

we think these framed drawings are scenes from Charleston... really unique... 4 of them.

love this great old green scale

starfish galore

shells shells shells...Mom and I were tickled to find this old green feeder.  We had a red one at Christmas that only lasted a couple of days in the booth. It is perfect for a centerpiece... or shell holder :)
Come in soon to see what has "washed up."

Monday at the Mall

Just a few of the things in the Booth today that we think are pretty cool ....
this rusty old stool almost found a home in my kitchen...

this great old mirror ...and lots of books as usual

lots of new banner phrases...for grads, mommies to be, and newlyweds... And we recently added a bunch of mason jars...

we always have a couple kitchen scales and old windows in the booth... and this 15th Street sign is cool

Have a Happy Monday!

Here Come the Brides...

Wedding season is around the corner.  The Brides are out strong. We saw several Mother-of-the-Brides scooping up good stuff for reception d├ęcor....

We decided to honor all the spring and summer brides with our window display this month.

With a bit of a "twist",  our fictional B58 couple is getting hitched on the beach....  A vintage destination wedding!  Silver, Pearls, and Seashells...

Guess who has a birthday???

Booth 58 turns 4 today!

We are excited to celebrate 4 great years of our little business.  Hard to believe it was only 4 years ago that on a whim Mom and Dad and I decided to jump in... head first!  Little did we know all the good things that would come.... good people especially.

I wrote a short summary of our story here two years ago... Since then, our booth has grown and we continue to have a blast together.

"And Many More....."

We've created a new B58 Banner to add to our collection....Come by soon for its debut!  It's perfect for  your next celebration....  We had plans to have them ready for our birthday, but we have been out junkin' too much to stay home and get them made!

All for you.....

We dug through piles and piles...

Loaded our junkin' wagons...and unloaded them several times.....

Cleaned up all of the treasures....

Found the perfect spot for each new item in Booth 58....

All so that you can find the perfect thing for that spot at home!

Come by soon to see what we brought in from Roundtop and several other recent trips

It's Black and White

I recently bought a bundle of old black and white photos.  All the scenes include the same family with their beloved pets and new automobile from the turn of the century.  Mom and I love looking at them imagining their story....

We like to tuck black and white photos throughout our store vignettes.  For some reason, they add something to the scenes we set up with our old junk... a softness... a realness... a story....

Some of the pictures that we use are our own old family photos...from my grandparents' era.  When we fluff the booth and move things around, they make us smile and chuckle a little as we move Grandmother Theodosia or Uncle Park from spot to spot... They seem to smile back at us and say, "this is fun...isn't it?"

Even though we don't know the full story behind all these pictures, there is a story.  It makes us happy to think these folks' stories live on..... in the midst of our funny Booth 58 junk.... History in black and white...
