The other day, Mr. 58 and I were running errands when a sign nailed to a telephone pole caught my eye. It read "Small Garage Sale" with an arrow pointing down the street. Now this really got our curiosity up because who advertises a sale as small? Well, we found the house and saw an old door set on two chairs. There were a few items including one small silver trophy cup. When I showed interest in the ONE cup the seller commented that he had several more somewhere in the garage.
Off he went and a few minutes later returned with six trophy cups dating back to the early 1900's. We were happy to take them off his hands.
We still cannot figure out why he thought describing his sale as small was a good idea but we're glad we stopped to take a look.
