Constants - Part III... "What are constant sellers in Booth 58?"


Two animals are usually found in Booth 58....

 Horses and Dogs

Horse and dog lovers are special people, and they like to buy!  So, we scoop up any horsey or puppy paraphernalia : prints, plaques, planters, book ends, and figurines... They love them all. 

Come see if you can spot any today.  They aren't always very obvious, but they are there!  Somehow those "horse people" and "dog people" find them. 

Monday at the Mall

Have you noticed ACM's new mascot?   He is quite patriotic on this Memorial Day Monday - isn't he?

There is a cool story behind our eagle.  This is actually a "celebrity" eagle.  If you are an American Pickers fan, you might recognize him.  Mike and Frank found him while out pickin' in Kansas.  To be exact... "middle of no-where" Kansas.  After trying with all their might, they could not talk the owner of this fine eagle down to a price of their liking.... they went home without him.

SO... how did this beautiful bird make our front stoop his perch?  Well, our very own Diane Haight... owner of ACM... while out pickin' in "middle of no-where" Kansas, stumbled across Mr. Eagle.  And guess what... SHE could talk down the price.  NOW that is a true American Picker! 

Come by and meet our eagle soon.  You never know when another great American Picker will stroll by and take him home.  Maybe it is you!

Constants - Part II

Constants... Part II -
The next "installment" of this season's series - "What are constant sellers in Booth 58?"

Boxes and crates and trunks of all kinds are another constant in Booth 58.

 Fun to see what we can do to make an old milk crate, wooden tote, bank box, travel trunk, cigar box, tool box, or ammunition crate into an interesting piece. 

Lots of stacking and creative contents inside!

 

 I'd love to ask our customers what all they've done with these boxes and crates.....

are they now housing toys in the playroom?
shoes in the back hall?
pencils on the desk?
magazines under the coffee table?
or money under your mattress?

Boxes, and Crates, and Trunks... Oh My!.... We'll keep 'em coming!



Monday at the Mall

Another highlight of another booth switch-e-roo this week!

 Ella Elaine has moved all of her "nest" to the booth in the front middle section of the store....

AND Angela from Enchanted Heart has moved into the booth across from the cash register now.  Great job, Angela! 

 We got to chat with Angela for a while on Friday.  She said she is going for a look that is more of a mix of the old and new.... a vintage/modern style.  It is really beautiful... and bright and welcoming. Loved her bird prints on the wall.

Angela will be keeping her upstairs corner booth still.... and this one now too. Lots of treasures to find in both of her spots.  Come in and see for yourself!

Buckets of fun

Had "buckets of fun" today... filling the booth again with fun finds. 



Dad (Mr. 58) built this cubby unit.... so cool!  perfect for a collection of silver or the family shoes!  We have two of these in the booth now.



Found these neat signs today.... Several of them are from an old drive-in.  Would be great in a media room.

Back from the Beach

We are back from the beach.  It was a wonderful weekend.... the best yet!  Sad to come home ... but excited to jump back into Booth 58. 

 Sister and Little Mr. 58 and I ventured up to ACM this morning to see how the booth looked. Yikes! Things were a bit crazy... but that is a good thing. That just means we sold a lot of stuff while we were kickin' back on the beach all that time.

 We have plans to "shake it up" tomorrow and Friday.... hoping to give yall a new look to come and see this weekend. We are moving the beach to the back half of the booth and bringing in the red, white, and blue up front. It's about that time!

ACM's Newest Attraction

  This Monday I want to share the newest corner in ACM.  Darla's booth in the back left corner of the store, got expanded tp the back room... and she has done an awesome job! 

Last week on a slow afternoon, a few of us vendors snooped through her new booth... and one even said,  "Don't you want to lay down and relax in here?"  So cozy and inviting! 

Beautiful job, Darla.  Come by ACM.... seeing this new "attraction" is worth the whole trip!

Gone to the Beach

We are on our way to the beach this week!  It is our annual Booth 58 Family vacation to the coast.  We will see you next week... with a little more sunshine on our shoulders and sand between our toes.  We'll share a few pics once we get home.

"Constants" - Season 2 - Part I

Last fall I did a blog series on our Booth 58 "Constants"- those items that you can usually find in our corner and usually are hot sellers.  "What are constant sellers in Booth 58?"

Chalkboards, empty white frames, and silver are still big sellers for us. Now that Booth 58 is larger, Mr. 58 brings more of his repurposed furniture. Most of our furniture is painted white.

Can't sell much of any other color or finish.... We try gray every now and then, or leave wood furniture with it's original stain, but many times we find ourselves taking it back out of the booth. If he puts a coat of white on it, and we sand to "shabby-fy" it... and it sells! Crazy, huh?

We found summer

Spent the day in Canton today.  Summer was there!  A nice breeze reminded us that it is only early May ... But a sunburn tonight, reminds me that summer is closer than we think!

Found all kinds of fun treasures... Plan to hold on to lots of them and spread them out through the next couple weeks.  We will put some in Booth 58 tomorrow.  We hope to do a  Mother's Day section.  We'll let you know how that turns out!
