It's Black and White

I recently bought a bundle of old black and white photos.  All the scenes include the same family with their beloved pets and new automobile from the turn of the century.  Mom and I love looking at them imagining their story....

We like to tuck black and white photos throughout our store vignettes.  For some reason, they add something to the scenes we set up with our old junk... a softness... a realness... a story....

Some of the pictures that we use are our own old family photos...from my grandparents' era.  When we fluff the booth and move things around, they make us smile and chuckle a little as we move Grandmother Theodosia or Uncle Park from spot to spot... They seem to smile back at us and say, "this is fun...isn't it?"

Even though we don't know the full story behind all these pictures, there is a story.  It makes us happy to think these folks' stories live on..... in the midst of our funny Booth 58 junk.... History in black and white...
